Welcome to Lake Piediluco: A Scenic Retreat for Pike Fishing in the Heart of Umbria Embark on an adventure to the picturesque Lake Piediluco, nestled in the heart of Umbria, Italy, just a short 1 hour and 30-minute drive from the vibrant city of Rome.
This artificial lake, positioned at an altitude of 1,207 feet above sea level, spans 0.6 square miles, with a maximum depth of 62 feet, creating an ideal setting for a thrilling pike fishing experience.
As your expert fishing guide, I specialize in the pursuit of the elusive pike, employing various techniques such as spinning, bait casting, and fly fishing. Accommodating one or two anglers on my boat, each excursion is tailored for an unforgettable fishing experience.
Lake Piediluco is centrally located in Italy, with the charming village of Piediluco, a fraction of Terni, adorning its shores. Situated in the southeastern fringes of Umbria, extending into Lazio, this lake, covering 0.7 square miles, stands as the largest natural lake in the region after Trasimeno.
The name suggests a possible interpretation as "at the feet of the sacred forest." Part of the remnants of the ancient Lacus Velinus, formed during the Quaternary, Lake Piediluco, along with the Lungo, Ripasottile, and Ventina lakes in the province of Rieti, adds to the region's rich aquatic heritage. With an irregular shape and a perimeter of approximately 8 miles, the lake sits at an altitude of 1,230 feet, offering a maximum depth of around 62 feet. Its natural inlet is the Rio Fuscello, while human-made canals connect it to the Velino River and channel a portion of the Nera River's waters.
The lake's water flow and release are meticulously regulated to meet the energy needs of nearby industries in Terni. The effluent, the Velino River, diverts to Marmore, forming the stunning Marmore Waterfalls where it joins the Nera River.
Immerse yourself in the beauty of Lake Piediluco's lush surroundings, indulge in the thrill of pike fishing, and create lasting memories against the backdrop of Umbria's serene landscapes.

My boat is a 4355 alluminium alaska boat perfectly equipped for fishing, safe and unsinkable.
My name is Adriano Marini and I am a professional AIGUPP fishing guide code ITA0108/21. I started fishing with my father at the age of 8. Through the years I have gained experience, by trying different techniques, to specialize in predators fishing; and I started practicing catch and release from a very young age. Since 2015 I have been a fishing guide with a specialization in pike fishing.
TV Series on Sky pesca TV "Pike Story". I am also a collaborator and editor about pike fishing for these magazines: Pesca spinning, Spinning passione and “Piscor magazine”. In 2015 together with Americo Rocchi we made the documentary: I segreti del luccio 2. My goal is to provide an unforgettable fishing experience: funny, educational and relaxing; always placing priority on nature respect and fish protection.
